This formation, as near as I can tell, is known
as Calico Tanks. It's basically a large, petrified sand
dune that has become different colors of sandstone. |

(non-native) and are "kept under control" by the BLM. |

at this point, my battery blew out so I wasn't able to get a
good picture of the burro IN my window, just like the previous
