The seminar was in Tacoma. I had a day before the
seminar to sightsee. The most interesting nearby place was the
Olympic Peninsula.
The weather was nowhere near as
nice as in Juneau. As you
can see here, it was foggy and rainy.
The red bark and the rain made a nice combo.
The trip was a success because I
got a few bait signs.

National Wildlife Refuge.
The key part of Dungeness NWR is a
sand spit that sticks out into the strait for 5 miles. According to
the sign, this is the longest natural sand spit in the world.
