On May 4th and 5th, Kate and I
went on a trip to Crane Creek, OH and then on to Point Pelee,
Ontario. Crane Creek was a great spot for bird photography - the
birds weren't very shy and came pretty close to us. |

An American Woodcock was sitting still in the
grass right next to the entrance to the boardwalk. It was almost
impossible to see, even from a short distance away. I put the
scope on it and tried this "digi-scoped" shot. We were
at the minimum focus range for the scope. |

OK, this is a rotten shot, but how often am I
going to be able to take a picture of an Eastern Screech Owl.
Trust me, that's what it is. It was sitting right beside the
boardwalk. |
